Renovations: Roof Replacement with Malarkey Shingles
At JD Hostetter, we believe every home should be safe, beautiful, and able to withstand the elements. We had the opportunity to work on a multifamily dwelling in Indianapolis that badly needed a new roof. The current one was seven years old and would not survive another year.
The apartment building roof was losing its existing shingles. The shingles were delaminating, and the shim parts of the shingles were falling out, making this project a must.
The apartment manager initially reached out to us because of our local and online reputation, as well as our status as an Emerald Pro Contractor with Malarkey. Malarkey specifically warranties Mansard roofs, so we were a top choice.
Malarkey: The Perfect Roofing Shingle Solution
After reviewing the scope of work, it was determined the biggest challenge would be completing the roof promptly due to its current disrepair. Winter wasn’t ideal for completing a roofing job. Most roofing work is done during months with warmer weather. We worked around this cold-weather problem by using an alternative product that can be installed at lower temperatures.
We offered the client an alternative to their current shingles as a cost savings and because the new material could be installed in colder temperatures. Using Malarkey Highlander roofing shingles helped them save money and gave the shingles a 25 year guarantee. Durable shingles in Storm Grey were installed quickly and with little disruption to the tenants.
Make Your Commercial Property Look Great with a Roof Replacement from JD Hostetter
This project was a win-win for all parties involved — we were happy to help so many community members. We love servicing our community with safe and beautiful roofs.
Our clients were all pleasantly surprised by the final results. Feeling reassured that they would be covered for the winter and covered by Malarky for the next twenty-five years made this an easy decision for the property owners to make for their tenants.
