When we first saw this 90-year-old Zionsville house, we knew it was facing some challenges. The homeowner was facing numerous issues with the home’s exterior, including painting that was peeling almost immediately, woodpecker damage, and old wood windows. These problems made it clear that it was time for a complete exterior overhaul.

Custom Color Siding & Painting Services with Beautiful New Windows
Working with a 90-year-old house came with its own set of peculiarities, such as things that were out of level and square and generally harder to work with. Despite this, our team worked diligently to ensure the project was executed to perfection.
We utilized both Hover technology and the Pella showroom to help the homeowner make selections on windows and siding that would rejuvenate the home’s exterior and maintain its existing character.
The customer had a unique color in mind for their siding that posed a challenge since the color wasn’t available from James Hardie, but our team opted to install Hardie ColorPlus siding in Boothbay Blue and then paint it purple later on, to give them the perfect periwinkle shade they desired. The great thing about their new Hardie siding is that it is pest resistant — including woodpeckers!
Additionally, we did a Pella Lifestyle replacement for the old wood Pella windows. The Pella Lifestyle series of windows offer the beauty and durability of wood combined with style flexibility and exceptional performance options, like great energy efficiency.
A Historic Home Transformed
Despite the peculiarity of the 90-year-old house, the project went off without any other concerns or issues. The end result was a revitalized exterior with historic sill details on the windows and doors that complemented the home’s character.
