A Carmel couple needed a total exterior overhaul for their home. Located in an older neighborhood of mostly 1960s-era houses, the two-story home had brick on the bottom and vinyl siding on the top. There were holes in the siding and the soffit and gutters were falling off. A sliding door wasn’t functioning properly. Because there was no insulation, the interior was too chilly in the winter and too warm in the summer.

As always, our team began the project by providing the customer with a variety of options and a Hover 3D model to bring the vision to life. Our thorough process included an initial meeting with the couple, in which we discussed the scope of the renovation. In our second meeting, the clients told us about their design vision and their budget parameters. In the final meeting, we explained how we would create the proposed addition and finalized the contract.
The couple chose low-maintenance James Hardie fiber cement siding in Iron Gray with white trim to replace the failing vinyl siding. James Hardie siding is an excellent choice for Carmel area homeowners. It is made of cement, sand, cellulose, and fibers for maximum strength. It is much more durable than vinyl, and therefore won’t be susceptible to cracks and holes during the area’s chilly winters.
Our team discovered some unforeseen wood repairs while working on the renovation. The project manager quickly got approval from the homeowner to take care of the minor damage and the project continued with no delays. Throughout the project and upon completion, our professional crew cleaned up all nails to leave our client’s property tidy and safe.
